RYAN AND KELLY WILL FIGHT AT RHYOLITE
CHICAGO, Jan. 5. -- Tommy Ryan and Hugo Kelly, who were matched recently and were waiting to receive bids for their services, will probably get together at Rhyolite, Nev., in April. Sylvie Ferretti, the manager of Kelly, received an offer from F S Skinner of the Rhyolite Club, who is willing to give the men a purse or a percentage. Ferretti wired back, asking what the purse or guarantee would amount to. He received a telegram this afternoon saying that $15,000 would be put up.
The offer has been accepted by Ferretti and Jack Curly, the representative of Ryan. The managers have wired to Rhyolite demand $1000 and transportation, and if Skinner consents to give them this the match will be on, so the managers said today.
