Rhyolite was a city which, in reality, was built on paper. The paper stock certificates of mine speculation. Yet, the people of Rhyolite believed the promoters and built a city to endure. In early 1905 the town was laid out. Today it is nothing more than a ghost town with a few reminders of what was.

The improvements segment tells of the building of the town which will include utilities, railroads, the school, and various other businesses. And the demise segment tells of the downfall Rhyolite, Nevada and its becoming a mining ghost town.
